Lunatic
The NHL has no credibility if there are no suspensions. But when it comes to Cindy they don't care. Get some cahones Shanny, will you.

aziz
@Phillygrumpadams got an instigator with less than 5 minutes. supposedly, that's an automatice 1 game suspension.neal on couturier:
Phillygrump
Thanks aziz. How will they justify no suspension on that. Couturier was defenseless and Neal left his feet. That is just garbage.Classless Penguins organization.

That is just garbage.Classless Penguins organization. If it was just that hit on Couturier I could see (not particularly like, but see) no suspension. But then a few minutes later he goes after Giroux, and that looked more intentional than the hit on Couturier. I think if you're a repeat offender in the same game, you gotta get something. Phillygrump
yeah...but i can see no suspension for it. it was bad, but it wasn't bad bad.How much worse does it have to be to get a suspension in the NHL? Whats the line anymore?
aziz
@Phillygrumpwell, for starters, the head has to be the point of contact. as much as was bad with that hit -namely that couturier didn't have the puck, wasn't looking, and neal jumped into it- it was shoulder to chest. shanahan is going to look at it, but there were no must-suspend elements involved. fine, maybe, but i don't see much beyond that.as opposed to the asham play, crosschecking schenn in the face and then punching him while he's down. that is across the line. Phillygrump
So then why was Rinaldo suspended for his hit on Ericsson? The head wasn't the initial point of contact there. There is no consistency.
touche22
@azizThe more i watch it the more i think Neal might (should) get a game. He leaves his feet and point of contact is the head. What a punk...get the video of the scrum near the end of that shift how quickly he gets on the bench and closes the door. what a p u s s

The rought stuff is going to send the ratings up, but Shanny needs to at least act like he is trying to keep things in check.
aziz
@JackStrawhmm. also not really the worst thing ever. i mean, bad, but.... i dunno. i'm still thinking no suspension.man but does he like leaving his feet, though, huh? he's like richards, but 3 inches taller.
