Too much?Interesting. Hagelin generally plays on the first line. Although a textbook offense, most playoff suspensions in the past have only been assessed 1 or 2 games. For some reason there seems to be more head shots this playoffs than I've seen in the past.
Podein25
Seems harsh, but he clearly targeted the head with his elbow. Too bad, I took him in one of my playoff pools
hf101
Probably harsher than normal due to the sudden number of targeted head shots in the first few games of the playoffs. The last thing the league needs is losing it's star players to concussions during the playoffs
OzFlyer
Carkner got one game-<object width="640" height="383" id="embed" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000"><param name="movie" value="http://nhl.cdn.neulion.net/u/videocenter/embed.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="flashVars" value="catid=60&id=172551&server=http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/&pageurl=http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/&nlwa=http://app2.neulion.com/videocenter/nhl/" /><embed name="embed" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer" src="http://nhl.cdn.neulion.net/u/videocenter/embed.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="383" quality="high" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" flashVars="catid=60&id=172551&server=http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/&pageurl=http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/&nlwa=http://app2.neulion.com/videocenter/nhl/"></embed></object>
hf101
@OzFlyerI think the one game for Carkner is fair. Boyle could have chosen to fight. Also had Carkner let up after Boyle went to the ice he probably wouldn't have gotten anything.
