flyercanuck Posted April 16, 2012 Share Posted April 16, 2012 I'm going to say a lot of what we're seeing so far in the playoffs is a direct reflection of the way the Bruins won the cup last year. Winning usually forces teams to copy that blueprint. The Flyers went out and got bigger after the Bruins manhandled them last year. But i think all teams watched the Bruins play a tenacious, hard-nosed and sometimes dirty style that took them all the way, and are thinking "Hey, it worked for them". So this year we've got these all out wars with plenty of cheapshots. At least that's my thinking.
