Leach27
INJURY UPDATES: According to Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren, defenseman Erik Gustafsson missed practice with a "maintenance day," and forward Andreas Nodl, who also missed practice, is still nursing a lower-body injury. Nodl sat out Saturday's game with the same injury. Eric Wellwood, who replaced Nodl in the lineup on Saturday, was re-assigned to AHL Adirondack on Monday ... Chris Pronger participated in a full practice on Monday - exactly two weeks after sustaining a nasty eye injury - and appears to be able to play on Wednesday, should he received clearance from eye specialist Dr. Stephen Goldman. Illflyaway
hopefully Gus will stay with the Flyers. if so, it will be interesting to see if he becomes the 6th d-manYes, I really hope that Gus sticks. As far as I'm concerned Walker can stay in the minors. Lilja could be the 7th defenceman.Timo, CoburnPronger, CarleMeszaros, GusLilja
MaineFlyFan
SO GLAD pronger will be back in our lineup soon....I'm pretty sure we only have one PP goal in like 20 chances without him.....not to mention how much more comfortable I fell with him on this ice.His career has proved one thing....he makes a team better when on the ice. PERIOD. Welcome back Capt!!!

jammer2
it's painfully obvious we need Pronger in the line-up. I think the time has come where his play (even when healthy) has to be monitored. When we play back to back games and one of them is a weaker team, Homer and Lavy should entertain the option of sitting him for one of those games. It's all about what kind of Pronger we have available come April, so his Time on Ice and yes, even games played should be considered moving forward. Mad Dog
And at this point, I would sit Lilja rather than Gus. Lilja is really doing more harm than good. He is turning into Chris Therien... While Gus doesn't help much, he doesn't do much of a damage either.

While Gus doesn't help much, he doesn't do much of a damage either. So far Gustavsson has played well, he doesn't make the mistakes that Carle and Coburn makes. He's making good hockey decisions, I want them to keep him up and use him as the 6th dman. Also would like to see Lavy bench Carle, Coburn or Mez when they keep making bonehead plays or costly TO, these guys don't seem to be scared of benching as we have no depth there so they keep doing the stupid mistakes. spacin007
Stats have us as a .500 team w/out Pronger which seems about right. Columbus not withstanding (Tuuurrible team) they played OK without him.He clearly adds a great deal to the calming factor they need in tight games. Good mentor to the younger Dmen...Glad he's almost back, that was a scary-ass injury
