Can't see the raw data, but I'd find it surprising if it's as true with the Pens as it is with the Flyers.

BTW, if you read the study abstract, they also noted a difference in how many penalties we called on home teams once they switched to wearing the colored jerseys at home vs. when they wore white at home, so it's not just about black.

However, there was a greater difference in stats with the black analysis vs. the home analysis.

Note to the Wings: don't wear practice jerseys or hoodies while playing hockey! ;-P

good point. i guess there are exceptions to everything, but i believe(without checking the stats) that the flyers were penalized more than pitt in the 1st round. granted, they only had their black jerseys on for 3 games. i should go back and look at it, could be interesting to see if they were penalized more than the flyers in those 3 games. but.... i got too much work to do right now. sigh.
