I doubt they keep the name Avalanche in Johnstown! We can only hope. The Alaska Avalanche of the North American Hockey League is moving to Johnstown, Pa., the league announced Friday. The Avalanche has been purchased by the Johnstown Sports Partners LLC, led by Esmark, Inc. Chairman and CEO James P. Bouchard. Terms of the deal and the relocation were not disclosed.
