OzFlyer
Just watched the game after being at work when it was on and can't find any discussion about the game! Was it all in the Shoutbox??
OzFlyer
The Game Thread is over before the game started. Not sure this is going to work for people outside the Philly area!
OzFlyer
One thread about Flyers in overtime and not one thread about the way we played the 1-3-1 or Coburns fight?? There was more insight with the Trolls on the slly.com!
Digityman
@OzFlyerThere were about 30 members in the "Live Game Chat" during the game which probably takes away from the threads started last night. No doubt they will be started this morning. flyercanuck
That's the thing about the shoutbox...if you come in late you're out of the loop. It definately takes away from threads, which can carry discussions on over hours, days or in the case of The Thread, years. Coburn laid a nice beat down on Downie. I thought Downie might get him with his experience, but Coburn used to reach to his distinct advantage. Digityman
@flyercanuck You are right. Having the ability to chat does limit the threads - especially the live game chat. I
pags569
The chat does limit the threads, but it was quite enjoyable! I never really checked the threads during the game on philly.com and always looked at the different topics the next morning. I don't think we'll be loosing anything of value since most of the topics deal with a post-game discussion on "we should have done this"...."Why did Lavi do this"....."where is JVR". The live in game chat worked really well and made watching the flyers (even the loss) more enjoyable.
