idahophilly
I'll be picking a date soon for an official memorial service for Philly.com Forums for hockey. By Friday it will be 2 weeks without a hockey related post. What once many years ago was a fun place has flat lined.Any idea's on a fitting way to hold the memorial service over there? I'm thinking of a time capsule kind of thing. Final words in a final thread, telling the very brief story in each former posters own words as to what happened. A warning for those who stumble across the ashes. A warning of what darkness lurks. But also, a fitting salute to the good times from long ago and how that the slow death there led to the Phoenix rising from the ashes here. The lesson will be clear to all those future visitors there, if any...Besides, I have nothing else to do with my hockey time that is/was set aside for the NHL...(and it will be one final time to rip Kuato, Peter and yes, oh yes our fan favorite, Rick...) flyercanuck
@idahophilly flyercanuck finds this news really sad. flyercanuck used to like philly.com. But flyercanuck likes this site much better. (ok, enough talking like an idiot)
jammer2
@idahophilly Kuato got his way. I knew from the first few weeks, this guy would destroy philly.com...in the end it turned out to be a good thing anyways. He interjected his non hockey crap into every thread until it felt like a vice tightening around your head. He got his wish, he is now "King S**t of Turd Island"!!!! Bertmega
Bertmega likes Genny Cream Ale and Fancy Ties. BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!!BERTMEGA!!Bert and George do not know much about hockey, but we like to condescend and provide our completely off topic and meaningless opinion to every thread. The closest we could tell you about any sport is that a long snapper is kind of like a face off specialist.Other than that, I can proudly say that with the lockout looming my Sabres will win the Presidents Cup and the Stanley Cup too (with or without actual games being played). Lindy Ruff is the next Messiah, the Lumina sleeps with the Halibut and you all are Turkeys. The great thing about the lockout is that Lupul and Kessel can be the #1 and #1a forwards in the NHL since, well, everybody technically is #1 right now. Me and the boys at the Lexus Dealership are going to the Air Canada Centre to talk about how great the Leafs are and how "technically" they are in 1st place. DinahMoeHumm
@Bertmega: That "Haters" gif is killing me! I should probably know, but what's that from? I love the guy on the right, he's like "wtf, you can't do that in front of all these people."@JackStraw: That $hit is hilarious!
Bertmega
@DinahMoeHummIt's Vince McMahon at an WWE (F) event. Vader over at silly.com would post it everytime Toronto won a game that coincided with a Flyers loss. I am still uncertain if he was serious about his Leafs or if he was just making light of how bad the Leafs actually are.
DinahMoeHumm
@Bertmega: Ahh, ok. That's some funny stuff! I don't remember ever seeing that at philly.com, but I admittedly trailed off after awhile.I am still uncertain if he was serious about his Leafs or if he was just making light of how bad the Leafs actually are.If it's the latter then that's good stuff. If the former, help may be in order.
