JackStraw
http://www.forbes.com/nhl-valuations/Leafs become the first hockey team to be valued at $1 billion.(sort of fitting that this should come out when they're not actually playing hockey) Edited November 29, 2012 by JackStraw
idahophilly
That is kinda cool! 1 billion! Figures it had to be the Leafs but good for them. A milestone indeed... for all hockey... Now, if we can just get Columbus going considering they atleast made the playoffs once in the past 6 years....
idahophilly
It was in the past 6 yrs right? Should have looked that one up....
jammer2
Is it just me or do others have trouble believing Forbes? I'm not doubting the Leafs are worth that much, but it seems like everybody believes everything Forbes spits out....I really question the accuracy, esp when considering how subjective all that financial crap is...to many variables involved IMHO, this is nothing more than a grandiose guess. Especially if it's just for comparison purposes. Like, "are the Leafs worth as much as the Yankees?" kind of stuff. We could aways crunch the numbers ourselves but I think we all would be in the funny farm before we finished.
