Digityman
Watch out for the B's. Eighth straight win. From dead-last in the conference to 7th.Very strong defensive core and a good mix of toughness and skill.I think any team trying to make it to the finals is going to have to go through this teamFrom Matt Kalman:The Bruins got at least one goal from each of their top three lines plus two goals from their defense in a 6-0 road rout of the New York Islanders tonight.Center Chris Kelly was the big producer with two goals and one assist, his first three-point game as a Bruin.Kelly now has four goals and two assists in the Bruins’ last four games. The Bruins have won eight in a row.Tim Thomas recorded a pretty easy shutout with just 23 saves. He was particularly untested in the first period, when the Bruins outshot the Isles, 13-2. Thomas now has 28 career shutouts, which put him third on the Bruins’ all-time list. The Bruins are now among the top eight teams in the Eastern Conference and are just two points back of first place in the Northeast Division, as they head to Montreal for a showdown with the hated Canadiens Monday night. The last time the Bruins faced Montreal, they lost both ends of a home-and-home series. They haven’t lost since.

flyercanuck
Kessel is finally playing like he should, so right now, without Hamilton in the NHL and Seguin still a teenager, Leaf fans are content. But Kessel seems to be one of those guys that can't stay focussed so I think his career will be a roller coaster ride. Meanwhile, 19 year old Seguin was named NHL player of the week and sits 12th overall in points, tied for 4th overall in goals, is 2nd in the entire league in +/- and is already a better player without the puck than one way Kessel. Throw in Dougie Hamilton, a big bruising defenceman who sits tied for 11th overall in the OHL scoring race. Then throw in Jared Knight, another OHLer who could likely play in the NHL right now. What Burke was thinking I have no idea, but he sure wasn't thinking that package would end up to be this great.
Podein25
Seguin...is 2nd in the entire league in +/- Plus/minus: pfft. Everybody with any sense knows that it's "statistically inaccurate" or whatever.
