So could be a shin, could be a groin tweak, depends on how you read it:

shin pad. It’s OK, just a lower-body injury,” Gustafsson said.

Asked if he can play Saturday against Ottawa, he replied, “We’ll see. It got treated and we’ll see how fast it goes. I’ll be back sooner than later.”

As for pain, he said, “It’s not great, but it could definitely be worse.”

But sources say Gustafsson isn't dealing with the after-effects of a shot to the shin, but rather a possible pulled groin muscle. Either way, Gustafsson, while not revealing the nature of the injury, is hopeful it doesn't turn out to be a serious one.

Gus never did say it was his shin that was injured, but at least it doesn't sound like it's a break.

....why couldn't it be Bruno that took one off the shin????

Gus looks to stick and will get better the more he plays...he needs to work on holding the puck at the blueline but what defenSeman don't?????

Gus definitely helps with moving the puck out of the zone. And he doesn't look out of place out there. Just hope he can stay healthy.
