flyercanuck Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Ok everyone who's old enough remembers the Jiri Dopita experiment, where we signed the "best player not in the NHL" and he came in and collosally flopped. Well I say it's time to try it again. So looking around, how about this guy who's definately got leadership credentials and seems to score on just about every shift he's on the ice. Quote
phlfly Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 He is going poisen, kill or hang the ones are better then him so it's might you have a point. Quote
flyercanuck Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 @phlfly I noticed nobody even tries to take the puck off him. That shows an incredible skillset. Quote
phlfly Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Try the body check, next checks will on your ribs by his security guys Quote
Bertmega Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 what a beast. HOMER SIGN HIM AT ONCE!!!!!Did you see his pre-game warm-up? The man is an animal. I heard he can even do a strong side cross-over; which is more than Hartnell can do Quote
Polaris922 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I didn't know Lindros came out of retirement?!! (Sorry... I couldn't help myself!) Quote

JackStraw Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 @flyercanuck - as an added bonus, he has his own intelligence network... uh, I mean, scouting organization. Quote
TretiakCCCP20 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Does the name Vladislav Tretiak or Valeri Kharlamov ring a bell to anyone? Those two never played a day in the NHL and there is no doubt in my mind that had they played in the NHL they would be considered two of the greatest. Unfortunately, due to the time frame they both played in. Neither could defect to play for the NHL and Kharlamov died in a car crash in '81 1 Quote
jammer2 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 @TretiakCCCP20 Even Markov, who eventually made it over here, never really got his just due as to how great he was. We only got to see the tail end of a stunning career. You never hear his name mentioned, but he was awesome. Quote
TretiakCCCP20 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 @jammer2 Tretiak was considered the best goalie in the world. At the time of his retirement in '84 he was only 32 and still at the top of his game. Quote
