Looks like we'll get to see Mason tonight.

That will pretty much be the only entertaining thing about this game, I'm sure. Isles games are so booooooooring.

UNIONDALE, NY -- A Flyers official said before the start of today’s morning skate that Steve Mason will get his first start in goal for the team in tonight’s game at Nassau Coliseum against the New York Islanders.

Mason, acquired last week from Columbus, made his Flyers debut on Saturday in relief of Ilya Bryzgalov. He stopped all nine shots during Saturday’s 4-1 loss in Winnipeg.

The Flyers have 37 points and are currently five points out of the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot. They trail both the islanders and New York Rangers, who are tied for seventh with 42 points.
