Jmdodgesrt4
I remember homer saying he doesn't believe the cap will drop as low as people think. Further heard that the players take a vote after each season to raise the cap three million from the previous season as long as the cap isn't figured to raise above that three million mark. It's not stackable. Meaning if the cap figured by revenue is suppose to rise 2.75 million they can't add 3 mill. So I'm hearing it will be set at three million above the supposed set cap for next year. Anybody seen this? I've been looking and can't find such a provision in the cba. flyerrod
I was under the impression that those numbers were set in stone, the 63.4 mil number at least for a starting point and then possibly going up after that. Kind of funny how the projected revenues on the shortened season are 2.4 BILLION. yet the majority of the Owners are losing money......where is good ole idaho when I need him........... flyercanuck
@flyerrod What happened with Idaho anyway? He was a good poster on here then seemed to start having meltdowns about nothing.

I was pro player and he was pro owner. He really hated when you used facts to argue with him......
flyercanuck
@flyerrod But did he "quit" the board? Haven't seen him around in quite awhile.
TedZep
re Idahophilly, I saw a post or two of his over at the moribund philly.com site. Per him "I was severely provoked, but I stepped over the line." He was still directing traffic over to this site despite getting the boot from it. I hope it wasn't a case of an overzeaolous mod or admin. Too bad I missed the "meltdowns" they can be fun!
flyerrod
Too bad I missed the "meltdowns" they can be fun!I was partly at fault for his exodus and went out of my way to push his button after he had pushed mine. It all stemmed from the lockout argument and it crossed pretty much any sane boundary at the end. We both came the agreement that we would never agree. flyercanuck
When we were doing the "Most Valuable Retired Player" thing during the lockout he demanded that I edit my tongue in cheek Pens write-up. I refused because i saw nothing wrong with it, it was all in good fun. There was a bit of a standoff with Idaho and me, with him threatening to quit the board if I didn't edit. In the end Dig let me decide if I wanted to or not, and i chose not to. He still stuck around after that and there were no hard feelings, at least from me. But I noticed he'd take things pretty personal sometimes when it wasn't.
