hf101
Led by new head coach Tom Rowe who served under Peter Laviolette as an assistant coach with the Hurricanes has been tasked with bringing the Gagarin Cup to Locomotive Yaroslavl. In his first year with the team they were 34-1 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. Now the team is in Manheim, PA training with Steve Saunders, one of the elite trainers in the US.This is a fairly cool read as this team desires to win and develop young players, and who knows maybe there will be a connection to the Flyers one day.
flyercanuck
That's a cool story hf. My nephew played for them so I'll always have a soft spot. I got a laugh out of the guy who hoped to be in a big city but ended up in farmland. My nephews wife felt so isolated when he played there. murraycraven
Very cool article... at first I thought this was another "Druzbha" and winced at the thought of what happened to those poor kids. Manheim is not too far from me and occassionally went out there to Coach against the Lancaster Firebirds...
