hf101 Posted August 4, 2013 Share Posted August 4, 2013 An interesting story out of Raleigh as it appears that Chad LaRose has disappeared from the NHL. His contract with the Hurricanes ended June 30, he did not show up for his exit interview following the end of the regular season for the Hurricanes. And according to GM Jim Rutherford he has not been reachable through multiple phone or text messages this summer.http://www.newsobserver.com/2013/08/03/3081069/decock-after-10-years-larose-exits.html10 seasons is a significant career in the NHL. Others call it quits with intentions of their future, do any other players come to mind who have apparently walked away from the NHL like this? fishbulb Posted August 5, 2013 Share Posted August 5, 2013 That's very odd... I'm not a Canes' fan by any means, but I still heard his name in the odd highlight package etc... He always seemed like a poor man's Read/Whitney.To completely drop off the face of the Earth like that sounds like an emotional problem or substance abuse or something. Odd.
