Adam French take on top 10 Flyer prospects

The Phoenix blogger continues his summer long quest to list each teams top 10 prospects. I think he shows a nice working knowledge of the players and the Flyers org in general. I like the Ian White/Ghost comparision, I see a bit of White in Ghost's game. I liked the fact he touched on Cousins skating needing work, skating could be the one thing that holds him back, so it was spot on to mention it.

What struck me as odd was Manning being ranked ahead of Oliver, even though he said Oliver might make it, that was messed up. Manning should not even be in the top 10 at this point, or at least lower.

Manning has played well in spot duty. Lauridsen did okay, but he has more work to do.

In the Ahl, yes, I vaguely remember that. The prior year with time in the Nhl, he showed promise.

I like the White comparison too

The Manning thing is kind of weird. The blog says he got an invite to the AHL All-Star Game, so he can't have played that poorly. I liked what I saw of him as Flyer in the few games he's played. He looked poised to me. Which is a good thing. Shows he thinks the game.

Yeah, that's the way I remember it also. Really odd the varying reports coming out of the AHL, from on the all star team to barely holding on to his AHL positon...that's some crazy variance right there!

The list seems to make sense to me. Nothing really glaring that I go, that is just wrong. I look forward to seeing Morin's development.

I think I'd move up Ghost to the #4 spot on the list, placing Stolarz to #5 and then Cousins at #6.
