flyerrod
@Polaris922 Not sure why you disliked Kennedy.......I guess it must be the flyer fan in you....
Polaris922
@yave1964 We'll agree to disagree on that one. Great effort most of the time... but how much can you tie up in a guy like him? He was due for $2 million a year now... and he's not worth it. He's had season after season of chances to crack the top 6... and this past season or two it seems the only team he can score against is the Flyers. That's all well and good when you play the Flyers, but there are a lot of other games out there... @flyerrod I figured you guys would be almost as happy as I am about it. LOL I spoke to Tyler a few times a year it seems... and I really like the guy on a personal level, but as a player I am glad he's gone. Great guy, just never seemed to put it all together on the ice. PS> I know where there is a really nice townhouse for sale in the Pittsburgh area now if anyone needs a place... nossagog
I don't think you'll find a Pens fan who "disliked" Man-Bear-Pig. Its just that there was a lot of promise in his game early, and he was paid for that promise. His cost was just to high for a third line player who did not fill another roll like on the PK. As Polaris said, the money he was going to get could be spent better elsewhere. We'll all wish him luck.
hf101
@Polaris922 No worries Cooke and his family will return to Pittsburgh to live after his career is finished.
Polaris922
@hf101 That's fine as long as he pays his taxes

I get that: the Pens have some legit issues with the play of their bottom six and can't just throw money at one guy in that group.
