Buffalo Rick
I say its a no brainer he is on the roster. Why would Sportsline have Pysyk on the depth chart when he is not even listed on the roster? Ridiculous and typical of them. The number one pick starts on the second or third defensive unit IMO. Just dont put him with Mike Weber. Erhoff and Myers will be the first and I would guess either McBain or Talliinder to be with Rasmus? radoran
Tallinder would be a good pair for Rasmus. I haven't seen too much of the Finn's game, but am looking forward to it. The important thing is not to rush him and burn RFA years and the cheap contract. I can see him getting the start of the season but am unclear about the transfer rules with Finland. At 19 I don't think he can play in the A. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1682962-rasmus-ristolainen-prospect-profile-for-buffalo-sabres-1st-round-pick Ristolainen could crack an NHL roster immediately after being drafted, but while everyone raves about his physical play and hockey sense, some scouts question his ability to position himself in the defensive zone and control the play at both ends of the ice. Would be a great match to learn from Tallinder IMO.
yave1964
when the Sabres got Tallinder from Jersey my first thought was it was to pair him with this kid. big one out of Buffalo right now, why on Earth are they shopping Vanek? I just do not get that at all.

Last season of his contract, GM who says they're "rebuilding" and part of a new foundation is whatever take they can get for Vanek.
flyercanuck
@Hockey Junkie Toronto was horrible for a decade. Even an idiot is going to assemble some talent through the draft when you're bad that long. They solidified their goaltending this past offseason. I only see them being better this year.
