I have tickets to the game...  but not sure if I can make it thanks to work.  If I can get out of work long enough, I'll be a little late getting there thanks to my son's goaltending camp.

Love these early games that don't really matter, especially for teams like the Pens and Wings who are pretty well set anyway. Kobasew scored a nifty goal for you guys against the Jackets and the announcers went on and on about how great he was looking in camp, ect... Still laying odds he does not make the team, lol

Yeah I made it to the game. As for Almqvist he has a great shot it looks. I wasn't focused on him too much as he didn't really stand out until he was left open for that blast from the point. Power play time obviously gives him space but he's young and makes the most of it. Defensively he appeared to struggle a bit against our Crosby line but many defenseman do.

Hartzell was impressive. Tall, fills the net, and he was very quick. Only in for one period, but didn't give up anything and appeared solid positionally.

My favorite player of the game was Maatta. The kid is 19 and slated almost 19 minutes, mostly against Zetterberg and Datsyuk. He was really solid defensively, going man on man with Zetterberg a few times and coming out either with the puck or at least removing Zetterberg from the puck. Zetterberg had one shot in almost 18 minutes. I can't begin to say how excited I am to know this kid will have time to grow and after this performance, I'm convinced he's going to be in the NHL soon. To me he was the one to watch.

Kuhnhackl may make it up eventually. He plays real tough in front of the net and his effort was outstanding. May need some seasoning though.

@Polaris922  I really liked Harzell's quickness also, elite reflexes on that kid. Only a matter of time till he's in the NHL. He might even push Vokoun for a few starts here and there. I think they will break him in slow and recall him for a game every couple months or so, just to get his feet wet.

I hope so. Looks promising!
