jammer2
@hf101 Wow, I thought it was a tad early for this type of cut down. At the very least, I expected McGinn and Cousins to get a longer look with the big team, a few more exhibition games anyways. They both looked like they belonged in the early exhibition games. hf101
@jammer2 I don't know. Realistically they are all in Adirondack training, bonding. The Flyers don't play another game until next Tues. The Phantoms do need to get ready for the season as well. I think also we need to keep in mind the Flyers have to be withing the Cap at the start of the season, so they are going to trim to the 23 man roster to get there. jammer2
@hf101 I just thought McGinn was on the short list for applicants looking to fill the one available spot on the 3rd line wing. Given his NHL stints in the past, I just figured he would have stuck around a bit longer. Just trying to figure out who will be on the Phantoms top 2 lines. Looks like Akeson, McGinn, Cousins, Noebels, Straka could potentially make up 5 of the 6 slots?
hf101
I just thought McGinn was on the short list for applicants looking to fill the one available spot on the 3rd line wing. And that might be the case, just not to start the season. You have to figure Prongers cap is a part of day 1 of the regular season, once Pronger is on LTIR, players that can be called up on the Phantoms will. I don't think it is a matter of tryouts as it is more about making cap space.
jammer2
@hf101 Reading into this a bit, perhaps Raffl surpassed McGinn on the depth chart?

Leach27
@hf101 Reading into this a bit, perhaps Raffl surpassed McGinn on the depth chart? nope. from what I read, Raffl outbeat McGinn because of vinnys comments that he had chemistry with him. jammer2
@Leach27 Well, regardless of the reason, he did in fact surpass him on the depth chart, no?

AbelMorpheus
That's a pretty decent line-up. The Phantoms haven't had much of a team in recent years. It's nice to see the farm being re-stocked. And don't they move to Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton next year?.

I, for one, fully support this newfound commitment to the youth movement.
