CoachX
I would have liked to have seen someone bust Boulton in his grille. Rosehill and Rinanldo should have tuned him up. Yeah, yeah, yeah.... I know it was not the right time and why give the other team momentum. I just hate that point of view (even if it is smart). I say you always jump on an opportunity to beat up a guy

I say you always jump on an opportunity to beat up a guyFor as much as I like fighting, I give kudos to both Rosehill and Rinaldo for not dropping them. The momentum was on the Flyers side and the last thing you want to do is wake up Tavares and his buddies when you are playing with a 2 goal lead and Mason in goal. Once the Flyers scored the third goal, they started coasting a bit and then started playing pond hockey and not forechecking. That allowed the Isles back into the game and apparently woke the Flyers as they returned to playing defense again afterwards. They are playing worlds above how they started the season but they really need to work on keeping their foot on the pedal when they have a lead instead of sitting back and letting the opposing team bring it to them.

It is nice to see a Flyers team NOT getting sucked into extracurricular activities and putting the game aside. But then again, that's what the last 60 sec are for.

Take an entire element of their game away and turn them into a marginally offensively gifted checker. That sucks more than being a factor and getting in a fight. mojo1917
Steve Ott was masterful in the third period Thursday, I would have loved to see Rinaldo loose the wolverine on him, that said Ott's elimination of the power play , drawing a game misconduct for 36 and almost taking Simmonds with him was some of the best agitating I've seen in years . Effective, infuriating, I bet he's a hoot to hear an in game audio feed .

It wasn't called straight, and that probably is the real reason I was pissed.
The Quigster
Berube and Lappy have got these guys wising up when it come to getting penalties. The game on the line is the top priority. Some of the guys who agitate for a living can't do much else,it beats working on a Tugboat or welding.

CoachX
Ott should have gotten a beat down too. This would have been a good game to have another news worthy scrum. Hell, with any luck it would have prompted more disussion on rule changes
