Claude Monet
I will let you guys know how he is looking. Hopefully it is good so some of you can step back from the ledge. They are playing in the coliseum tonight which is a nice old school barn rather than the modern building they usually play in.... Where the blazers play. As always thanks for keeping me posted on how the flyers are doing from a left coast fan
flyercanuck
@Claude Monet Leier is at the Canadian Junior camp - he won't be playing for the Winterhawks for 3 weeks if he makes it.
The Quigster
It would be nice if some of you who have acess to the Flyer's prospects in the juniors would keep the rest of us up to date on their progress. I for one would really appreciate it.

jammer2
@flyercanuck Congrats on the 4-3 comeback win over the Spits....did you make it to the game?
flyercanuck
@jammer2 Didn't make it...too bad it looked like a good one. Both teams traded goals throughout .Mangiapanne with the hattie and Blackwood with FIFTY TWO saves!!! From the boxscore it looked like some shenanigans went down at the end of the game. Nice to see our teams still love each other.
flyercanuck
Canada played a Canadian college allstar team last night and won 3-0. Apparently Leier made several great defensive plays. Looks like teams are going to have their hands full with a line featuring potential #1 pick this year Reinhart and surebet #1 next McDavid who were all over the mens team They are 17 and 16 and likely won't be facing the other teams best checkers. Claude Monet
Leier is a GREAT two way player
flyercanuck
@Claude Monet He played on Laughtons line. If he makes the cut they'll likely be in charge of shutting down the top lines. Shows how good of two way players they are....Laughton is the 4th leading goal scorer and 7th in points in the entire OHL and has played 5 or 6 games less than the guys ahead of him. jammer2
@flyercanuck Bob McKenzie mentioned Morgan Riley yesterday, if he is loaned to Team Canada, he should be named captain. If Morgan is deemed a no-go by the Leafs in this tourny (his first goal was a few nights ago, a beauty!) Laughton is being mentioned as the odds on favourite to be named captain. Looks like he will have an A at the very least. A pretty big compliment for Laughts, considering how stacked this team is.
flyercanuck
@jammer2 Hoping for Riley but not banking on it. It certainly would make more sense than healthy scratches. I knew Laughton would be one of the leaders on the team whether he wears a letter or not. How can you NOT be inspired when a teammate plays a 200 foot game with his enthusiasm? I hate to say it but he reminds me a LOT of M.R.
