B21
Gutsy, gutsy win. All the credit to the D and Zatkoff. The latter seems to have settled down a bit after a rough start (.911 SV% / 2.53 GAA). As for the D - Maatta, Dumoulin, Depres, Bortuzzo (there's the glimpse) and Niskanen played their collective arses off.
nossagog
I've mentioned somewhere else, with the way that specifically Matta and Despres are playing, its giving the Pens quite a few options in years to come. Matta has been phenomenal coming in this year. Despres, who initally went down to the AHL, has responded by becoming much more responsible defensibly. I sit back saying, hummmmm, it they are playing soooo well, does it make Tanger's $7.2M salary a little more expendable. I would love to see the Pens open up the offense more than the dump and grind that we currently employ for the most part. I'm writing off their payroll for the year and just expecting that there will be AHLers here more because of the cap. I'm pretty happy with it for now as they're finding diamonds... I like Zatkoff and I love what Megna has brought to the table.
