The Quigster
It seems Berube is going to do it his way or else? With Hal Gill's sudden appearance I wondered what about Lauridsen? Is he hurt,is nobody available on the Phantoms?
doom88
Or Gill was up and available? Let Lauridsen get good TOI in the AHL. It's not a punishment, it's letting him develop. The methodology works quite well for Detroit. They still had Meszaros in the press box too. Lauridsen, Manning, etc are not seasoned enough for regular NHL duty in my opinion, though they show occasional promise. There's nothing wrong with letting them practice and bone up against more appropriate competition, so that once they make a NHL roster, they can play with confidence and reflex as opposed to overthinking and losing ice time. ruxpin
It's really hard to be patient when what is playing is painfully poor and you think you might have something in the system. But I agree @doom88, patience is called for, especially with the defensemen. Just wait and don't destroy them. They may eventually be good; they may not. But don't do something to tip the scales the wrong way.
colorado_al
To say this "D" needs help is about the greatest understatement I've ever seen on this forum.... well done. In my opinion... bring someone in.... ANYONE... I'd rather watch young guys learning on the job than watching the old guys look like figure skaters out there with nothing between their legs. ( guess I can get away with saying that. ). Al
