Buffalo Rick
Well Minnesota got better today with Moulson in their lineup. Halak goes to Washington, the team he stoned when they won the Presidents Cup and were a high scoring juggernaut like the Sabres were after the lockout with Briere and Drury. Halak was unbelievable in that series. Does he still have it in him? The Blues and Sabres obviously do not think so. The Blues ponied up big time for Miller. As expected Miller got a huge return. rjpags77
I think Tim Murray did a great job this trade deadline. The Sabres have a bright future in my eyes with all of their draft picks. I am also very happy about acquiring Conacher, he is a solid offensive player who should be able to put up pretty consistent results. jammer2
@rjpags77 This year and next will be fairly easy for Murray to navigate. He just had to unload players who were not part of the long term plan, but eventually he will have to start making the tough cap related decisons, that is when things get dicey and he starts to really earn his money. This part of the equation almost any GM should be capable of, dumping salary for picks and prospects should not be tough.
