Jam1986 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I know they lost but what happen? Didn't feel good about this game. Better turn it around asap! Quote
murraycraven Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) Lundqvist he was great but the Flyers played a perimeter game for the most part. MacDonald's gaffe was ugly too... Edited March 27, 2014 by murraycraven Quote
mojo1917 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I thought the Rangers were way harder on the puck than the Flyers last night. I thought Giroux was terrible, I wonder if he's got bruised ribs or something, he was avoiding contact he usually skates through or initiates. Not the best result clearly, this was an important game and our guys just didn't have it, I don't know if it was lack of effort, guys did hustle . I think if you hit and grab Giroux early he can be thrown off his game. the Kings did it and Girardi and Mcdougnah did it last night, those guys must be all elbows and knees, G flat out stopped skating in the neutral zone when McD was coming and also shied away from Dorssett, on a 50/50 puck. Our guys had some bad luck but also didn't make the hard play to change the luck.hopefully the malady will be short lived. Quote
Poulin20 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 We lost every battle last night and with it the game. During the winning streak we won every battle and came away with the puck. The Kings seemed to put us back on our heels and we have not yet recovered. Quote
fan4ever Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Hopefully we recover soon, like tomorrow!! Can't afford to waste points now....... Quote
JackStraw Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 They played badly, way too careless with the puck. Lundqvist did the rest. Quote
RonJeremy Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 We ran into McDonough and Girardi.....they shutdown our top line....just like Stevens used to do to Lindros in the old days ...I have been tormented for years by the likes of Stevens, Pilon, Kasperitus , Ulf Samuelsson , shutting down our guys and now our new thorn is McDonough. brelic Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I was at the game. What a terrible effort by the Flyers, led by Giroux. They made really bad passing decisions and in general over thought their plays. Mason was also very shaky I thought. Of course, the Rangers did play a great game and Lundqvist was rock solid. Let's hope they recover in time to make the playoffs. They gotta get in and this is no time to take their foot off the gas. Quote

After the 1st rags goal was scored (after a great assist by Mason) we were all saying in the chatroom "I hope Brelic isn't getting beer dumped on him or anything. I was in section 210 and was lucky enough to be surrounded by at least a dozen Flyers fans in nearby seats! That helped. But when Rangers fans started chanting "FLYERS SUCK" it was hard to argue with them It was just such a great time being at MSG for a game and NYC has been awesome! Rudy's was a blast!! Thanks for the tip. Quote

Thanks for the tip. Glad you were not isolated and abused as I have been in the past in Buffalo and that you had fun at MSG. We need to get you to a game at the WFC if you havent been already so that you can be amongst 19,000 friends. So glad you like Rudy's too that place is not very well known by the tourists and is definately a hidden gem!! Quote

I'm planning on next season with a few buddies from here. So glad you like Rudy's too that place is not very well known by the tourists and is definately a hidden gem!! Yeah, it was great. The people and bar staff were all so friendly. I went over to the MP3 jukebox and couldn't believe they had Dream Theater in there, so I cranked out 3 songs and my buddies and I rocked out - we were going to see them live the next night, so may as well get all pumped and primed for the show, haha! What a blast! Quote
