Flyers: 10 Games to Playoffs

Still a long way to go and a lot of work to do.

 

Flyers are three points up on four teams (83 points to 80) - CLS, WAS in their own division, TOR and DET in the Conference.

 

Flyers have one game in hand on WAS and two on TOR, but are even with CLS and DET. There's no real margin for error as dropping out of the third spot in the Metropolitan puts a serious risk of allowing others to pass them even in the Wild Card.

 

Down the stretch, the Flyers are facing four games against division leaders (three on the road - BOS twice, @stlbluesfan4ever, @PIT), another against a current playoff team (@TAM 87 points) and two borderline (80-83 point) teams - CLS and TOR. And Buffalo (@FLA, CAR).

 

One can hope that BOS, STL and PIT are on cruise control (although the Pens are desperately searching for a spark). Obviously taking care of business against CLS and TOR are essential, especially after dropping the Rangers' game. They're staring at the Rangers with home ice at the Garden where they haven't won in three years.

 

CLS has something of an easier ride - one division leader (PIT), three playoff teams (COL, CHI, @TAM) and two borderlines (@flyers, PHX). @CAR, NYI, @DAL, @FLA.

 

DET faces three Division leaders (BOS, @PIT, @stlbluesfan4ever), three playoff teams (MON twice, TAM) and a borderline (@TOR). And Buffalo. Twice. CAR

 

WAS has two division leaders (BOS, @stlbluesfan4ever), and two playoff teams (CHI, TAM). Then @NastyNate, DAL, @NJD, @NYI, @CAR

 

TOR plays BOS, @TAM, DET and @PHI then CGY, WPG, @FLA, @OTT.

 

Of the four, CLS is to me the most worrying. WAS doesn't have as tough as schedule, either. TOR probably has the easiest, but they have the fewest games left.

 

This is really where a few extra points in October would come in pretty handy.

Bruins - lost

Blues - lost

Jacket - win - 2 points

Bruins - OT - 1 point

Sabres - win 2 points

Panthers - win 2 points

Tampa - win 2 point

Penns - lost

Canes - win 2 points

 

so it could 12 points in next last wuld be enough 95 points ?

Maybe a best sense scenario is we should finish as the first Wild Card and play the Penguins in round 1.
