TedZep Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 ... March 11th? The referee blew it big time, waiving off the tying goal, costing the Flyers a possibly important point. And based on the Devils being even worse than the Flyers this year in the [censored], having lost all eleven this year, Kowal's (Lemelin's?) gaff probably cost them 2 points, putting them only 1 behind the Rangers with two games in hand. Dammit, there is spilled milk everywhere! Quote
brelic Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I would bemoan the 14 missed points in our 1-7 start over the single point in the Devils game Quote
PhilsFanDrew Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Good teams don't look back and blame one bad call for their demise. Are you going to go back and look at a blown call that the Flyers benefitted from this year and give those points back? Also in that Devils game the Flyers went something like 0 for 6 on the PP. They had opportunities, they didn't convert. Quote
TedZep Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Are you going to go back and look at a blown call that the Flyers benefitted from this year and give those points back? Go ahead and tell me which game and which play, and I'll consider it. This was a good goal wrongfully waived off. If the play were subject to review (and next year this sort of play might be), the goal would have stood and a tie and eventual win secured. The 0 for 6 is something the Flyers could control - except that the Devils also could as well. The two teams on the ice decided that, not an official making an unforgivable, egregious, game deciding error. Bad officiating really chaps my ass. Quote
