Pouliot Out 4-6 Months

Feel bad for the kid but if @flyercanuck says he needs time in the A, then he needs time in the A.  Looks like he'll be back in time to log almost a full season in the A.

Defenseman Derrick Pouliot, one of the Penguins' top prospects, had shoulder surgery today and will be out 4 to 6 months.

 

Pouliot, playing for the junior Portland Winterhawks, was injured in the Western Hockey League tournament final. He was the WHL defenseman of the year this season.

 

Pouliot was a first-round draft pick in 2012.

 By "time in the A" that could mean anywhere from a couple months to years. I think Pouliot would likely make the transition quickly.

 

I was think a season.  Or - 3/4 of a season now based on the timetable for his return.
