pilldoc Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 @Polaris922 as you take a big sigh of relief! IMO, Car-bomb had no shot at making the Pens anyway.
Irishjim Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 but you still have downie..same player different uni #
B21 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 but you still have downie..same player different uni # I thought he was a good guy. Just misunderstood.
Polaris922 Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 but you still have downie..same player different uni #Disagree. Downie has shown he can play respectably and score 20 goals under Tocchet in the past. I'll take that. And if he doesn't, we jettison a $1 million contract.
Irishjim Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Disagree. Downie has shown he can play respectably and score 20 goals under Tocchet in the past. I'll take that. And if he doesn't, we jettison a $1 million contract.get back to me mid November when he stops playing offense and is nothing more than a wasted roster spot..I glance back to last year with the flyers..his 1st month he was the guy you hope he can be, after that a complete waste

I have no reason to believe he'll be successful and don't really want him here, but its low low risk.
jammer2 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 He musta done something right, Hawks signed him for the vet minimum right after the Leddy deal.
Vanflyer Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Penguins Release Forward Daniel Carcillo from his Tryout Contract ECHL or the goon league in Ontario?
Vanflyer Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Disagree. Downie has shown he can play respectably and score 20 goals under Tocchet in the past. I'll take that. And if he doesn't, we jettison a $1 million contract. I don't mind Downie. He is not a cooke. The only thing that I would piss and moan about is that he is not fleet of foot. He can play and has some skill. He just is not fast.
Polaris922 Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 He musta done something right, Hawks signed him for the vet minimum right after the Leddy deal.He did nothing right that I saw but in fairness just recovered from an injury. And he did win a Cup riding the Hawks' bench...
Vanflyer Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 but you still have downie..same player different uni # 100% disagree. Same temperament perhaps, but not the same player. Downie can actually play hockey (he is close to a .5 ppg player). Carbomb does nothing other than "energize" the team by running around recklessly for 2 shifts a period and then the odd fight. A huge difference.
