flyercanuck Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Travis Sanheim continues his progress in the WHL with a goal and an assist in a 2-1 Hitmen win last night. He's got 3 g 2 a in 3 games this year. He scored 5 g all last season.
brelic Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Think the NHL exposure's got him pumped??? Aube-Kubel is in town tonight, and I wish I could go to the game, but I've already got plans. I'm gonna go see Morin when Rimouski comes to town.

Still have to pinch myself when i look at the Flyers stable of blueline prospects coming in the future. So glad, now they can get to work doing what they do best restocking the forward group. A goaltender prospect or two wouldn't hurt either.
flyercanuck Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 @brelic Rimouski should be a fun team to watch....enjoy.
EDI-Flyer Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Travis Sanheim continues his progress in the WHL with a goal and an assist in a 2-1 Hitmen win last night. He's got 3 g 2 a in 3 games this year. He scored 5 g all last season. FC, I watched this game and it is noticeable just how much he likes to jump up in the play... 1st goal he finished off a 3 on 1 nicely, point blank range but still needed to be done. Second goal, he lead the team into the O-zone on the rush and was standing right by the net when the goal went in. His skating was really smooth too.
flyercanuck Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 @EDI-Flyer I heard "best player on the ice". Anyway, it sounds like he's coming along nicely. And considering he only had 2 points in his first 31 games last year, he;s doing it in leaps and bounds.
EDI-Flyer Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 @flyercanuck Absolutely, it is great to see him growing his offensive game, as long as it doesn't come at the cost of his D. I certainly wouldn't disagree with the best player on the ice statement.
flyercanuck Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Sanheim added another assist last night. I'll just add here so did Morin and Aube-Kubel had 1g 1a
flyercanuck Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 NAK had another goal and assist yesterday. Morin another assist.
flyercanuck Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Samuel Morin returned to action with the Oceanic on the weekend after being out for a month with a broken jaw. He recorded a goal and 2 assists in 2 games.
flyercanuck Posted November 29, 2014 Author Posted November 29, 2014 Travis Sanheim had a goal and 2 assists for the Hitmen last night. He now has 10 goals on the season (twice as many as all of last year) and 13 assists in 26 games. Sam morin added a goal last night as well for Rimouski.
jammer2 Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 @flyercanuck I watched another Hitman game last week. Our 6th rounder from last year Fazleev is still on their top pp, making some nice strides, nice hands on that kid.
flyercanuck Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Fazleev has really been coming along. 2 more assists for Sanheim last night. 5 points in 2 days for the kid.
mojo1917 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Anyone able to follow Reece Wilcox ? that kid has some upside potential with his size, but I hear nothing about how he is playing at Cornell
jammer2 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 @mojo1917 I found a few things.... Summary of his previous 2 seasons at Cornell....http://www.cornellbigred.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=34172 I didn't know this, but I guess his rights were traded in the WHL, from Portland to the Silvertips for Seth Jones. Of course, he is probably sticking it out in Cornell, but if he wants to play in the WHL, it's a go. http://flyers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=637871 2014 stats for his junior year....He only has one goal through 9 games, but as you know, he's a defensive d-man, so pts are not his forte. The more important stat is blocked shots. He leads the team with 15 blocks to this point. He had 76 blocks as sophomore last year. http://www.cornellbigred.com/cumestats.aspx?path=mhockey&& I really searched hard and came up empty in my efforts to find a few write-ups on Wilcox's current season, only thing I could find is the stat package up above.
