murraycraven Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 it's official... I am not getting **** done today at work... might as well grab some beers and pregame!
Lucky13 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I'm working from home today. That means I'll be tuned in at puck drop. Which is worse since I'm on the West Coast!
murraycraven Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Mrs Craven woke up this morning, patted me on the back, and congratulated me for making it through the offseason. I told her not to talk to me until the All-Star break!

mojo1917 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 @murraycraven that is hilarious and i can totally relate. my wife looks at me with this bemused disapproval on days of big sporting events, like she has great empathy for my suffering....however, she has told me that" the basement will be suitable for you if your Orioles make the world series". so i got that going for me.

I get the same thing as well! I sent her an email at work too and she is fully ready to lose me during all game times and post games and other NHL games. And I am okay with that!!!! LOL!
TedZep Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I am not getting **** done today at work... might as well grab some beers and pregame! I picked the wrong week to quit drinking. I know, I'll quit quittin' drinking! Go Flyers!
pilldoc Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 @murraycraven@Irishjim@mojo1917 Awesome video Irish! i can relate to all you guys. My wife over the weekend, while talking to her mom on the phone, just said she is about to become a hockey widow for the next seveal months! Her comment to me earlier tonight, in joking voice after I told her about tonights game, so does mean that I (meaning my wife) am going to lose TV priveledges on game night. I just smiled and sais yup! You may watch what you want on on TV in the our bedroom. Though this season may be a season of transition....I am still pumped for tonight!!!!!! PS What is the name of the song and who sings it on the video. IT ROCKS!!!! EDIT ...... I just found out who sings it! "World on Fire" The new single from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.I would post the Official Lyric video but it is extremely Explicit. Google and watch it for yourself. I just can't post the link here.
pilldoc Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 wife is out with 1 child, i'll be putting the other to bed shortly, then I have house/TV to myself for gametime!

jammer2 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 ha ha....my girlfriend would literally kill for the right to watch hockey....nothing else matters. Guess I have things easy, huh?
Vanflyer Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 the basement will be suitable for you if your Orioles make the world series Is that an upgrade to the garage?
Vanflyer Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 ha ha....my girlfriend would literally kill for the right to watch hockey....nothing else matters. Guess I have things easy, huh? My wife and daughter are the same (more my daughter than wife, but i can't complain). So, I guess we are both pretty fortunate. My only problem is I have to teach the game to my wife everytime we watch a game. My daughter gets it: stop the puck, skate and shoot the puck.
mojo1917 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Is that an upgrade to the garage?Well Van it's more like "keep away from us" than "you can come in the house" . occasionally i get a little excited and scare the dog when something good or bad happens...my daughter just rolls her eyes and my wife smiles her "you poor bastard" smile.
