Ugh.

Ugh ugh ugh.

How can we get rid of either or both of these wastes?

They are NEVER going to arrive. Please please please bench the suckers and at least try to squeeze some pride out of these two bone heads.

I'd take Briere and his big bad contract back to unload these jack asses.

Can we as fans start a class action suit against Homer for gross negligence and incompetence?

We can't even trade either of them at this point.

Hold on they are young... They deserve a spot based on just being projected to be good players...

In all seriousness you will be selling pretty low. Both as a package or individually will fetch nothing of mention in return.

pack up the schenn brothers send them to the jets for kane

Sorry... That ain't happening. Now way that gets you Kane. You better be ready to include a high pick or a good prospect like Laughton in there

Flyerboard: "What's the matter with this franchise? Why can't they practice one iota of patience?"

Flyerboard:"Trade Carter, trade JVR, trade the Schenns, they'll never amount to anything. Oh ya, and bring up those defencmen we drafted the last two years, if they're not ready yet they never will be"

The brothers both had a decent game last night.

Maybe combined together, they have the power of one full human brain. Let's make sure they're always on the ice at the same time. It's like working shorthanded, but at least there's a full brain out there!

Del Zotto is far worse than #22 in my book. If anybody should be riding the bus in the A it's that man.

I thought Schenn and MDZ were both bad last night...

Really? Brayden or Luke? I thought Luke Schenn looked a lot better defensively than he has in the previous 3 games.

And MDZ is prone to errant passes, but I thought he played an ok game as well.

Luke and MDZ made another bone headed play last night that lead to a goal... I am on my phone so I will copy Sarah B's outlook:

That Luke Schenn-Michael Del Zotto defensive pairing needs to change. They were on the ice for another goal again Tuesday, adding to already dreadful plus/minus totals. In theory, the pairing makes sense; Schenn stays at home, Del Zotto makes plays. In reality, though, they’ve been little more than a liability

Richards and Carter and Gagne were all hockey Gods for this team compared to these two.

LA, right before their next Cup win

Won't it be like 6 million bucks back though?

That alone will be worth it.

Carter and JVR were frustration trades made to punish the player without regard to the effect on the team.

How have we not given the Schenns enough time? How long does it take the best player not in the NHL to become an NHL player?

How can you use the JVR trade as bad trade argument as ammunition against trading the guy we got for JVR?

Hexy's job is to unravel the mess homer made if this team.

Somehow the schenns have to either get better or get gone.

Schenn is an NHL player, no doubt. He scored 20 last year. That's not easy to do in the NHL.

Those charts I posted yesterday comparing Schenn to Carter and JVR show that it takes more time. This year should show progress, and next year could be a breakout.

It's like 22-year-olds scoring 20 in this league is like the leaves falling from the trees - all you need to do is sweep them up.

Wanna know why the Flyers seem to deal players who then go on to success other places?

Williams 17 goals in 75 games... at 21.

Crater. 23 goals as a rookie ... at 21.

van Riemsdyk, 21 goals in 75 games... at 21.

and now Schenn.

To be clear, I'm advocating moving them if the team insists on trying to put the triangular piece into the hexagonal hole. Not because I am inpatient with their development.

If the Flyers want to continue to insist any forward can play any position at any time - I think they are fools.

Schenn is a center, should be playing center and has never really gotten a legitimate chance to do so. If the Flyers don't see him in that role, what makes them think he's suddenly going to find "his game" as a wing??

I am frustrated with his play. I think that he needs to show a lot more.

But to pretend that he "hasn't done anything" while the coach relies on a 34-year-old guy who scored less last year to do the same job just sets them up for the same experience we've seen before.

And to insert a ray of sunshine, how about Simmonds?

16 goals in 78 games ... at 21 with LA

28 goals in 82 games ... at 23 with Philly (Schenn is now 23).

29 (projected and real) in the lockout year at 24, and last season at 25.

This season he's on pace for 102 goals at 26 years old. He will shatter Gretzky's record by February!!

Ok, maybe not. But I could see him potting 40 if he has a true breakout year and keeps playing the way he is now. He could be third only to Stamkos and Ovie.

LA gave up on him for a declining Richards (18 goals 3 years ago, 12 goals 2 years ago(lockout season), 11 goals last year).

Richards will be 30 this season, and is signed for another 6 years. He's now a 3rd line, 40 point guy.

These things take time, you're right.

I know I was just being hyperbolic for fun.

I didn't see those charts. Where were they?

Love Simmonds. He's the best thing on this team by far.

Brayden Schenn scored 20 g last year. Malkin scored 23. Duchene the same. Moulson.  Eric Staal scored 21. Byfuglian 20. David Krejci scored one LESS than Schenn. As did Nugent-Hopkins and Evander Kane.
