hf101 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Pascal Dupuis was reportedly checked from behind and was hit in the head/neck area with the puck from a shot by Letang. the injury appears to be serious as he was stretchered off the ice.
Vanflyer Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Freak accident. God speed. As an aside, that was a damn cross check!!! (edit: folks on NHL.com are saying its not a cross check.... i spit up in my mouth reading those posts). The best sign is that he was moving his hands (I immediately thought broken vertebrae).
Polaris922 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Poor Duper can't get healthy! Not petty injuries either. The guy has no luck right now.
Vanflyer Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Poor Duper can't get healthy! Not petty injuries either. The guy has no luck right now. Isnt that the truth. Talk about a bad luck hockey player. That however was a blatant cross check, leaving him completely vulnerable in front of the net. The play / injury still would have happened because of the split timing. Yet, there should have been 2m on the board for x-check.
nossagog Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 That seemed to affect the Pens adversely, the Stars began to take control after that. Hope Dupers is ok.
Polaris922 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Reports this morning sound as though he lost all feeling in one arm but that it slowly returned after being taken off the ice. Hope he's back soon.
B21 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 He was back skating today (thought not expected to participate in practice). Good sign. Talk about shitey luck...
Podein25 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I don't HATE Dupuis. He's definitely one of the least hate-able of all the Penguins in my opinion.
notfondajane Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Supposedly he has skated this morning for about 15 minutes.
nossagog Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Dupers took his regular spot on Malkins line today, so he may even be in the lineup tonight. Good for him, it was a scary sight seeing him on the ice.
Vanflyer Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Dupers took his regular spot on Malkins line today, great news.
