Yorick
Two back to back wins against the Pens, equal on points with the Pens. With ten points clear of the third team (Caps) in the division. What's wrong with you? Why do you not suck?
jammer2
What's wrong with you? Why do you not suck? 1) Finally a good goalie, Halak has been stellar. 2) The further maturation of Tavares, he's taken it to the next level, a true superstar and playing like one. 3) Adding Kluemin and Grabovski to an already deep young forward group, they gave the kids much needed veteran presence. 4) Adding Boychuck and Leddy, two excellent d-men to add to the already talented group of Hamonic (gets better every game) and De Hann (ditto). 5) Okposo, a late bloomer showing he is a legit force in this league. 6) You can already see how special of a talent Ryan Strome is, he will make a perfect 2nd line center to complement Tavares. When Dal Colle, Griffin Rienhart and Ryan Pulock all arrive and start contributing, this is a championship roster, cause all the present players will still be in their primes. Very much improved play from the Isles this year. They must be getting ready to fill the seats in the new Brooklyn house.
jammer2
@flyerrod More good news for the NYI coming up soon...Grabner comes back in a week or so. They get faster and get their best pk guy back. Put Grabner and Clutterbuck on the wings of the 3rd line....pick a center, any center and that line will push the puck into the opponents end. mojo1917
Hamonic is a great player and fine young man. big fan of that kid, he's like the Islanders version of Towes, positional differences excluded... sincere, talented, dependable, mature. tough, a Lex Luger if you will, he's the type you maybe poke a hole in your roster for.
