AMMOnation
Watch this video, look at the leadership throughout the video, Pronger, Lapps, Briere... Then look at the current roster. A telling sign why the team is where it is. No leadership.

In all seriousness those guys are the "old school" type players that really dont exist in todays game.
Podein25
A telling sign why the team is where it is. No leadership. It's true. We really miss #44. More than people realized. Starting to realize now. Giroux is still just a kid. An asss -grabbing kid.

murraycraven
Really? By Flyer fans? Lemme guess which ones...speaking of dolts! LOL... oh yeah! the only thing about the Kimmo situation is I hope that Hextall does not pin this season on losing him. In other words dont make it an excuse. It hurt this team a lot but there are fundamental flaws with this Team up and down the lineup. I hope Hexy turns out to be a visionary and not a knee-jerk reaction type of GM but IMO we just dont know yet...

One could make the argument that Kimmo, despite losing a step and all those miles on his legs, held this deeply flawed monstrosity together last year. Paved over the cracks as it were. No Timonen no Hartnell proving to be bigger losses than the sum of the players... or something. Missing those two guys is hurting this team, no question, two guys from the leadership group, two really good teammates. Their absence has created a character deficit.
