OurSaviorGhostBear
Sanheim has been very impressive in the last couple games for the Calgary Hitmen. Great skater with incredible poise with the puck. He has 3 goals 12 assists for 15 Points in his last 7 games putting him at 31 points in 30 games this season. Here are the highlights from tonights 8-3 Calgary Hitmen victory. http://www.hitmenhockey.com/video/46007 I feel like he could be the best flyers D prospect if he keeps up his great play with the puck and continues to get stronger. It is also worth noting that Radel Fazleev has 9 points in his last 7 games and has also been playing very well. Seems like it is shaping up to be a great first draft for Ron Hextall! jammer2
@OurSaviorGhostBear Fazleev and Sanheim are on the Hitmen's top pp together. I've watched a few games this year, but not recently. Gonna have to back and catch some of their games again.

King Knut
I am and have been utterly fine with Sanheim staying down in juniors for now, he's last year's draft pick for goodness sakes... but just to play Devils advocate. It's not like No one who has ever scored 29 points in juniors went on to do nothing much in the pros. I don't see how that's relevant to anything. Also, not for nothing but most of the goals he was involved with in those highlights had very little to do with him. An innocuous pass that someone else turned into an effective pass or a goal. I'm not trying to rain on the parade, I'm just saying let's not start booking the floats or etching his name into the Norris just yet. He is wasting away in Jr's

Some people think that the Flyers refuse to call up the prospects in order to pack the stands in Allentown this year... Sanheim belongs in Jr's IMO

Evander Kane can rot in Winnipeg. I wouldn't want that punk on my team. For all this talk about how he's a great left winger, Schenn is outperforming Kane this year and it isn't close. BobbyClarkeFan16
I was being sarcastic.Yeah, I should have figured as much. I definitely wanted to state my opinion on Kane before others might have jumped in suggesting it was a good idea. Looks like his 30 goal season was a fluke. I mentioned something similar before this season started and the trade rumours were swirling. I don't know if it was a fluke, but it's certainly an outlier. He hasn't even hit 20 goals in any other season.
flyercanuck
@brelic Attitude plays a big part here. Kane has the talent to be a 25-30 goal man. The problem is he thinks they'll just come to him without the effort.

The problem is he thinks they'll just come to him without the effort.I don't think this is accurate. Kane has many character flaws, but work ethic is not a problem. He came into camp in very good shape and has busted his butt every shift.I think he is not that smart a player. He shoots when he should pass and passes when he should shoot. His lack of production this year is a function of being injured, being on a team that wasn't generating any offence (until recently) and some bad luck. jammer2
@Podein25 I agree with that, talented and hard working, but really seems to be lacking in the hockey sense part of the equation.
