J0e Th0rnton
The Sharks will essentially spend the next 2 months at home...Thank god after that 16 of the first 20 road trip to start the season. From Jan. 10th till March 14th, the Sharks will play 20 of 27 games at the SAP Center... once over to Arizona, then a b2b in Calgary and Vancouver, another in Arizona, then a toughy to Dallas/Nashville, and a Van game between a double 4 game home and home runs...Positives:Sharks PP is ranked 5th in terms of home efficiency (26%)Sharks GF at home is 3.06 per game, which really only trails Toronto, TB, Detroit, Isles, STL and Montreal in terms of home offense. Compared to the 2.45 per game average on the road...A slight edge in the real time stats of HITs/BS... Sharks average 28 HITs per game at home vs. 19.5 on the road, 16.4 BS at home vs 14 on the road...Nothing much to note about splits...Wingels probably the major player: 0.75 (12 points in 16 GP) at home vs. 0.55 (11P in 20 GP) on the roadStalock could be a key beneficiary (if he gets more starts) 3-1-0, 1.26 GAA, .945 SP at home vs. 1-2-1, 2.96 GAA and .913 SP on the road. Surprisingly only 2 B2B in the entire 2 month home stand, and they are both on the road and both in Vancouver too...
