flyercanuck Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 .http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/john-hynes-hired-by-nj-devils--becomes-nhl-s-youngest-coach-004518107.html The New Jersey Devils will announce former Wilkes Barre/Scranton coach John Hynes as their new head coach. He was initially hired by Shero as the bench boss of the Pens farm and did an admiral job there. Pittsburgh will receive a 3rd round pick as compensation in what is IMO the correct reason the rule was put into place

jammer2 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 @MadDevil He's got a solid background, having played and coached in some big NCAA programs, a lot of international experience, coached the US development league, USA World Jr's in 08 and won gold with the Under 17 USA squad along with a silver and bronze. He is now the youngest coach in the NHL. Seems like the Dev's went the Flyers route, young, fresh new ideas with a solid hockey background....don't know his style per say....but I'm gonna go ahead and call this a good solid hire.
