radoran
Isn't it great when a goalie's GAA goes from 3.00 to 3.85 in 2:13 because someone scored on a 3-on-3? Just wait til someone wins the Richard because of 3-on-3 goals.
mojo1917
three on three is entertaining as hell. keep it ! screw the "stats" way super fun and cuts down on the shoot out.

Although I DO get that 3 on 3 may skew stats a bit, in the grand scheme, it is still a small part of a goaltender's overall season stats.A good goaltender will still post good numbers, a bad one is still going to post bad numbers....same with the goal scorers. Really, a small price to pay (errr, no pun intended Habs fans, settle down...) for a damned exciting 5 minutes of OT.
radoran
Why not just play 3-on-3 the whole way? Damned exciting would it be, hmmmmm? Not like that boring 5-on-5 "hockey" stuff.

Or makes the playoffs because they score 3-on-3 It's just absurd to give away points to teams by changing the way the game is fundamentally played. And that includes the shootout. radoran
Now if you give me pick between 3 on 3 or a shootout I'll take the 3 on 3 EVERYDAY. But, again, it isn't an "either/or" - it's a "if no goal/then"

radoran
I couldn't give rats ass about points/stats. Right, but the point of that line was that if there is no goal in the 3-on-3 then they still have a shootout. It's not "either/or" And they still affect the standings with a five minute period of special nothockey and shootout.
hf101
Add Erik Karlsson to the list of players who don't like 3 on 3 OT. @HockeyScanner"It's a bag skate," Karlsson says of OT. "It just makes me tired. I don't see the point in it," Karlsson said Thursday, according to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.

Just wait til someone wins the Richard because of 3-on-3 goals. I'd pull the goalie for an extra attacker. A 4-on-3 is a huge advantage. Just wait until teams start copying my strategy.
