J0e Th0rnton
I want to do one every year with the intent of using it like a time capsule and digging it up in 4 years time. The idea is to take your teams top 5 Prospects(Personal choice), and throw some realistic projections out on where they will be in 4 years in development. Scott and I discussed doing a "Prospect vs Prospect" whose team will be better, etc, but For now, I just want to get some names down. Definitions of prospects can vary. I say we go with anyone who does not have 1 full year of NHL experience. That way, you Flyer fans can still list Laughton, and I can still list Tierney for the Sharks For my team! #1 Jeremy Roy Playing top 4 on the Sharks, getting ready to take an older Burns spot and become the Sharks franchise Dman Roy > Provorov. I said it! #2 Chris Tierney Second line center, approaching 60 points #3 Jonas Donskoi Watched him yesterday and went ....."DuRRR?". Man this kid is sick. 50 point winger, and 3 on 3 OT specialist. Also, if the game ever makes it to shootout again, a shootout specialist #4 Timo Meier 1st line power forward. Unknown ceiling since I think the world of him. But better than Ryane Clowe ever was at his best. #5 Nikolay Goldobin 1st line offensive force with whom people complain about his defensive play. #6 Rourke Chartier Potential 50 point forward, but likely 35-40 points and stuck on the third line behind Couture/Tierney Honorable mentions to Mueller(top 4 Dman), Noah Rod(Kruger ceiling), Kevin Labanc(maybe? top 6 potential), Nikita Jevpalovs(Maybe? top 6 potential), Dylan Sadowy(3rd/4th line awesome) Edited September 14, 2015 by J0e Th0rnton
teenagemutantninjahertl
@J0e Th0rnton I agree with your assessments, I just think you have the order wrong. 1. Tierney (I think he is capable of Couture like numbers, 70 points/season)2. Donskoi (the only reason why he is #2 is he will probably be in the NHL this year, and he will be better than others on this list due to his maturity)3. Roy (the future Dan Boyle??)4. Meier (better than Clowe, yes!)5. Goldobin (solid 2nd liner)5. Chartier (35-40 points is reasonable)

I just expect him to be a 2nd line center. Currently his expectation is 3rd line center 2: Yeah, being 23 when the others are 18-20 helps. But he is already above expectations considering his draft position. MVP of his league and a PPG players at the WC for his country. Sick moves this kid has. 3. I think he is much more than that. Potentially the best Dman of his draft class. This kid oozes Hockey sense.Great pre-draft write up on him.http://www.wingingitinmotown.com/2015/5/6/8561039/2015-nhl-draft-player-profile-jeremy-roy-red-wings 4. I guess I am very high on Meier because I see him play for the Mooseheads a lot He has a Corey Perry feel to him. 5. Yeah, Goldy is a top 6 or bust kinda player. His skills offensively are through the roof though. 6. Chartier just impressed the hell out of me. I was watching Merkley a lot because he was a name in this years draft, and by proxy, also got to see a lot of Dratsaitl and Chartier. Dratsaitl reminds me of Jumbo Joe, and Chartier reminds me of Pavelski. If the Oilers make Dratsaitl available due to having McDavid and RNH, then I would want to jump all over it. I would probably have to part with some prospects I want to keep, but Dratsaitl reminds me enough of Jumbo to want him baaaad.

J0e Th0rnton
@J0e Th0rnton If Meier turns into the next Corey Perry....... The kid has heart and drive and high end skills. His skating SUCKED his first year with the mooseheads. He worked all summer, and suddenly, he is above average in Q skating. Not just skating, but he looks to improve every aspect of his game every time he plays. He just plays like a bull. Underrated playmaking abilities and drives the net terrific. Tough, skilled. Love him. He won't be super dirty like Perry, but he will be hard nosed
