blocker
His name came up in a discussion the other night. He had a killer year for Peterborough, and a couple dynamite seasons in the AHL. Hell of a hockey player, and from all reports, a good teammate. Odd that he never got a real shot in the NHL. A few games for Boston, and (I think) Washington. But, that was it. Funny. flyercanuck
+Didn't recall the name so I looked him up. Had a couple of pretty damn good years on the Petes...same with in the A. Tried to make it during the 70s...some guys just couldn't take the violence back then. I'm not sure if that was the case but he wouldn't be the first guy... blocker
I hadn't thought about the violence. I know he didn't get penalized much.
yave1964
Couldn't think of two worse organizations to be with at the time for a guy like this..... Boston was absolutely stacked among their forwards and it was impossible for a kid to catch a break behind Espo/Ratelle, O'Reilly, Schmautz, McNab, Cashman, Middleton, Marcotte, Jonathan ect...... He ran into a brick wall. Then on to Washington who was the worst organization in Hockey at the time and a terrible judge of talent. They were a black hole for young kids, they had absolutely no idea what talent looked like. Looking at his stats if he was with the right organization he very well may have had a career. It just didn't work out.
