WTF happened to the Jets this year? I thought they were a team on the rise (actually with their prospects, they likely are)

It might be a case of one step back, two steps forward. But they are no longer the big tough team that nobody wanted to play last year. That's an identity any team would want right?

But instead they went with more skill up front in Ehlers, choosing not to sign guys like Stempniak, who while not huge, plays a strong gritty game. Stuart is apparently a shadow of his former self, so they've lost that grit too. Then they trade Ladd, their grittiest top 9 player and Captain and the embodiment of that identity. Replaced him with Marko Dano.

So now they are reinventing themselves into a different kind of team I guess. Kind of weird.

Important must know for my match vs Yave this week. Is Gudas going to get discipline for the hit on Doan?

Early reports say no, but I need to make sure as lineup's set for the week at 7PM ET tonight. Gudas has been terrific in peripheral stats and plays 4 games this week, so he is a solid source of points

yay!

League gives 0.3 points per hit and blocked shot and SOG, 4 hits and 3 blocked shots a game is as good as an assist per game from him. Any points and +/- he gets on top of that are gravy to me.

Now is this time we will see what the Flyers are truly made of. Up one with 20 minutes left against a non-playoff team. Assume we will get no help from the Hockey Junkies tonight against the Red Wings. Go get these two points in regulation!

Wow. This defense is garbage....can anyone actually challenge the goddamn puck carrier???

And then not sure why Bellemare stops and WTF Vandevelde is just a damn spectator....sit his ass and put Laughton back in f**k that no talent motherf**ker!

Wow those two may have just saved the season! What a play by Ghost staying with the play! Unreal finish.

Rookie defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere is the Philadelphia

This team still concerns me. Thank God there was no shootout! But at least it was 2 points and the 1 point conceded didn't matter.

Ghost was brilliant keeping that play alive. Giroux earned his salary.  Glad they stole victory from the jaws of defeat.....almost blew this.  You have to give them credit for plowing on.  The game against Washington should be very interesting. There is no love lost between those squads. Meanwhile, Mase hasn't fallen asleep in goal.  I guess he is also earning his salary.

Without him this playoff race would already be over.

I'm glad they get a day off to rest before taking on the Caps. I like their chances now coming off a huge win like that. If they would have lost i'm afraid it would be more of the same versus the Caps....now there is a glimmer of hope.

It's interesting...six weeks I would have said that if Neuvy or Mase had to be separated next year, it would be the latter. Now I wonder.

I'm glad they have another year with the 2 under contract to evaluate....it is a hard choice. At times Neuvy has just looked like the better goaltender (may he is just more confident) but Neuvy just can't stay healthy...and until he can prove otherwise the edge goes to Mase. Can't make the club in the tub!!!

I know Mason has had his own injuries/personal issues (early this season) that have cost him playing time during his career but I do think he is slightly more durable than Neuvy who has missed extended time in his career.  I really think that could weigh heavily against Neuvy getting extended long term.

Neuvirth has looked better because, for the most part, he's played against easier teams.

I really like him as a backup. But there's a reason he's never been a starter.
