hf101
As voted by the GM's Ben Bishop Braden Holtby Jonathon Quick Holtby is easily the winner here. Maybe some other's should have been considered Jones, Crawford, Schneider over Quick ? What would have been your top 3 nominations?
ScottM
Holtby is going to win this, but I'd vote for Bishop if I had a ballot. Holtby's win, in my opinion will be based on an obsession with the wins stat. I would have Schneider as a finalist over Quick though.
Holtbeast
Holtby will win this, but I also agree that Quick should have not made it and I would have had Brian Elliott from the Blues in the mix.
MadDevil
I would have gone with Luongo or Schneider over Quick. Quick is overrated. He had one amazing season in 2011-12 and has been living off that reputation since.

How the fact that they're not supposed to consider that sort of think does not dawn on the voters is beyond me. Sometimes, I wonder if they're watching the same sport the rest of us are. I'm okay with Quick, but I do think a good argument can be made for Schneider. I'm kind of sorry not to give Luongo any love, because he had a good campaign. Except that he really has only been that good in 2 playoffs. 2009-10: 3.50 GAA, .884 Save % 2010-11: 3.16 GAA, .913 Save % 2011-12: 1.41 GAA, .946 Save % 2012-13: 1.86 GAA, .934 Save % 2013-14: 2.53 GAA. .911 Save% 2015-16: 3.04 GAA, .886 Save % I think people confuse his athleticism with being an elite goaltender. Sure he can make some insane saves, but how often does he have to make them because he's out of position or challenges too much?

Apparently, I bought the hype a bit when warning people not to buy the hype. Ultimately, it makes the point stronger though. Quick clearly runs on reputation. Holtbeast
Thomas Greiss of the Islanders is another goalie who I feel had a great season, but only started 38 games. I think if he would have been able to play a full season or at least the majority of the games in the net for the Islanders he would be in consideration. He had a 23-11-4 record and a 2.36 GAA. His Save % was .925 which was 3rd in the league.
SkyHigh30
Yes all four that are listed should have been nominated over Jonathan Quick in my opinion.
