OccamsRazor Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Biggest game of the season. 4 point game. Flyers need this in regulation. Games in hand only matter if you win them. Jackets play the Canes tonight. Tampa plays tonight. So a lot could change with a win in regulation or not with a loss. But like it or not right now they are alive still! Point is they will need to keep winning....no matter how much we want them to stop and lose out they won't. So yes all they will do is f**k up a draft spot. I've already come to grips with it. They win when we want them to lose and lose when we want them to win!!! Welcome to being a Flyer fan!!!

I read yesterday the Flyers chances of making the playoffs are .2% right now. the Flyers have a 0.2 percent chance to sneak into the final wild-card spot - and that increased by 0.2 percent after their win over Pittsburgh.

Yes it is small as hell. In fact they need ALOT of help! ALOT! But right now all they can do is keep winning. And they need to do it in regulation. In fact they only have two games left against team they are fighting with to get in. Tonight's game and the last game of the season vs. Canes. It would take a lot of help but that game in hand the Canes have on the Flyers could be for the playoffs sure highly unlikely but we have seen it before win and get in vs. Rangers in 2010!

OccamsRazor Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 Hey but Boston has a tough schedule left too. Stars, Panthers, Blackhawks, Lightning, Sens and Caps. So no cake walk by any means.
Digityman Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Great site for stats: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern/Metropolitan/Philadelphia.html If the Flyers win the final 6 they have a 11% chance.
icehole Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 This is my fight song...take back my life song.....
Puck_Pun Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Eyy, a goal to Weise early on. ...and Couturier adds a second!
OccamsRazor Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 See you want them to lose and it's 3-0!!! It is maddening!!!!! Can't blame em for NOT quitting!
Puck_Pun Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 The Islanders aren't showing much energy, they're letting the Flyers attack and get good positions in front of the net. Weise with the Gordie Howe hat trick and the first period isn't over yet!
Puck_Pun Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 What's happening with Mason? Some sort of equipment issue?

This guy seems to be improving quite a bit each game, adds that element of speed WITH purpose and puckhandling that this team doesn't have enough of. He has really impressed me, positively.
FD19372 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Giroux looks like he got clipped in or near the eye.. Doesn't look good.
Puck_Pun Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Yeah, double minor penalty, which is appropriate considering the bleeding. Another goal a definite possibility
FD19372 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 5-0! You know what this means. They'll get shutout for the next 3 games in a row.
OccamsRazor Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 5-0 Simmer with his 30th. Not to shabby for just 3.9mill per year!
