2 Games Enough for Prout?

Might as well give him the rest of the season as far as I'm concerned. Wouldn't matter much.

The hit wasn't vicious.  But to deliver a hit away from the puck like that on a guy with his head down just trying to skate off the ice is about as low as you can get.

I'm all for defending your stars and your kids  (TK took a LOT of crap the first half of this season) and unlike many here, I'm all for retaliating against completely legal hits like this.  I think it's important to make a player think twice about delivering that hit against your main dudes the next chance he gets.

However.  I also think it's pretty key to deliver that hit in a somewhat respectable manner.  If you want to knock a guy on his ass or fight him and beat the hell out of him, great.  But if you want to hit him in such a way that is so utterly dirty and so dangerously risks severe injury, I think you should sit in the press box or the minor leagues for a very long time and at the end of the season when your team is already out of it, that should probably be a very long time or it should be assessed at the beginning of the next season when it can either actually hurt a guy in th epocket book or hurt his team.  All suspending Prout does now is potentially make tonight's game less of a powder keg.

Just me probably.

If they didn't suspend him, tonight could have gone the way of Philly-Ottawa.

Prout is a gutless turd,he should have gotten 10 games for that blatant cheap shot. If a guy gets it in the head while being checked during the action of game they usually get two or three games, but to hit someone in the head as they are on their way to the bench is as gutless as you can get. That is a clear cut intent to injure, I wish that punk was playing tonight so Morin could take his head off.
