Mixed feelings

My youngest Grandson is a junior in high school.  I watched most of his games.  Just found out he's going to be playing in Canada next year.  Got a deal with a boarding school.

 

Everybody else is excited and happy about it.  I know the exposure and better competition is good for him.

 

But, I'm sad to see him go,

Perfectly natural to feel that way.

My two boys are only still just 10 and 6, but I am already dreading the day when they want to "go off and do their own thing"...whatever that may be.

 

I will, of course, be happy for them.....but I will likely be a teary mess once it hits me that they don't need Mom any longer like they used to.
