yave1964 Posted June 3, 2017 Share Posted June 3, 2017 It appears that the Knights are ready to start making deals with other NHL teams. According to many sources it looks like the Blackhawks are ready to leave coveted young defenseman Trevor Van Riemsdyk available and he will be drafted by the Golden Knights. In exchange for leaving him available the Knights will take Marcus Kruger and his bad contract off the Hawks hands. I am not that impressed with TVR, he is okay but better than anyone that the Knights could take from the Hawks list so taking Kruger's contract is a small price and it gives cap relief to the Hawks for a win/win for both teams. This seems likely the first move of several, other players who are rumored to being kicked around are Dustin Brown from the Kings in exchange for potentially the Kings giving him their first round pick, Danny Dekeyser from the Wings and in exchange the Wings would give up a package of picks and other players under toxic contracts.
