radoran
Another #homercoaster of a deal bites the dust. I don't see him coming back to Philadelphia. Wonder if Nashville reaches out?
off_the_post
I'd pick him up if I was Vegas. A player that is fun for the fans both on and off the ice.

yave1964
CBJ going young fast and hard. Hartnell just too old to keep up with their style but was a good soldier.
radoran
Hartnell's 13 goals, 37 points bought out status puts him... 23rd on TSN's "Top 50 Free Agents"??? http://www.tsn.ca/tsn-hockey-top-ufas-list-1.519064 Right after Billy Elliott and Jonathan Bernier and right before Dan Girardi. Go ahead and look at the link and wonder at the crapola that is the FA market this season.
AJgoal
Someone's going to get a great value signing with Hartnell.

I do think that he's got something left in the tank, but I don't think his game is where the league is going. And I just don't see how he would fit in Philadelphia. I could seriously see a short term deal in Nashville to bring him back to the Preds and Lavvy - especially with Neal gone. He wouldn't "replace" Neal as such, but he could bring what he has to the table.
Samifan
Agree with OTP, I think Vegas might be a good landing spot for the upcoming season. His character and personality can help sell/build the hockey environment in Vegas.
mojo1917
I liked Scott Hartnell when he was here.. He is a good guy. He's good in the community, he's great in the room. He can pot your team some goals, he can mix it up with the rough stuff. I hope he continues to play NHL hockey if that's what he wants to do. I agree with aj someone is going to get a guy who will contribute to the team on the score sheet and beyond.
FriendlyGuitarist
Vegas would be good for him. He can still score somewhat and bring leadership.

Hartnell signed a 1year deal with the Preds. Going to finish his career where he started it.
